Due to the threat of Dumsor, Mahama will meet urgently with stakeholders in the energy industry.

Former Deputy Energy Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Yapei-Kusawgu John Abdulai Jinapor revealed that President John Mahama has directed the Chief of Staff to call an urgent meeting with those involved in the power industry to discuss the impending power crisis. "His Excellency the President directed the Chief of Staff to chair a meeting with all stakeholders today at 10 am," he stated. Several of the nation's power producing businesses will attend the meeting to discuss methods to stabilise the power supply and avoid "dumsor." The MP clarified during an appearance on Joy FM's Super Morning Show on Wednesday, January 8, that the meeting was required since the previous administration had not been able to secure enough fuel for electricity generating.
