Representatives of the Ghana Meteorological Agency is expected to meet the Minister of Employment and Labour Relations today, Monday, 21 February 2022 over their strike.

The staff of the Ghana Meteorological Agency embarked strike last Friday over poor conditions of service.

The Ghana Meteorological Agency consists of three main sub divisions:

Numerical Weather Prediction Unit (NWP) responsible for simulation of Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model, forecast verification and evaluation.

Central Analysis and Forecasting Office (CAFO) generatespublic weather services through the use of synoptic data,radar, satellite and numerical weather prediction (NWP) models.

Kotoka International Meteorological Office (KIAMO) produce aeronautical weather service to the aviation industry.
