One of the world's most popular social media platforms , Twitter, plans on charging its users $20 per month for verification and to stay verified.

It is said that this sudden development is a part of their premium service, which will be in effect under the wings of  billionaire business mogul, Elon Musk.

The social media giant, according to sources, will increase the price of the optional $4.99 monthly subscription called “Twitter Blue”, which provides additional features, to $19.99. This increment comes with verifying users as well. 

Users who have been verified will have up to 90 days to sign up for Twitter Blue before their verification status is removed.

Employees working on this new development must launch this feature by November 17th, 2022, or they will be fired.

On Sunday October 30th, 2022, Elon Musk tweeted, “ The whole verification process is being revamped right now.”
